Bread crumbs

I think I must be losing it...
I can't believe I'm posting about bread crumbs...
For years we used to buy breadcrumbs. Then, one fine day, I discovered that it was very simple to make -
much better fresh than the store-bought kind. I never looked back since.
Now, I have an even better idea:
I should just take the two end pieces of each loaf of bread and either save them for crumbs or process them immediately and freeze them.
Hmmm....
